Each of the summit crosses that hikers often encounter in the mountains, whether or not it depicts the body of the crucified Christ, invites passersby to a brief spiritual pause. Perhaps one or another will be able to encounter God here in a short prayer. As a prerequisite for a completely different mystical experience of encountering God, beyond such a small sacred monument, Hape Kerkeling, who made the pilgrimage on the Camino Francés in 2001, writes: “I am becoming freer here day by day (…) Through all the frequencies of emotion, I have slowly tuned myself into one frequency and had a wonderful reception. Easy hiking trail, easy to get to. Sturdy shoes recommended. Great view. Hut (Gipfö Hit) open Mon-Sun to stop off

From there you have a magnificent view in good weather.

My absolute highlight, in addition to the summit cross and the great mountains, was the Gernalm! Great service, delicious bread, delicious homemade fruit brandy, fresh milk and a super nice host! And all that for a great price. ONLY RECOMMENDED!!!

The top of the Schatzberg. The mountain is 1,898 meters high and is located in the Kitzbühel Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol. From here you have a beautiful view of the entire area.
