Great trail and the scenery is amazing

I cycled the Regental cycle path from Cham to Furth im Wald and back. The entire route is asphalted, with a few slight inclines. Just before and after Arnschwang you have to cycle on the road for 100m, otherwise you are always on the cycle path. Very busy. But highly recommended

The Regentalradweg has two faces. Between Regensburg and Blaibach it is a wonderful family-friendly river bike path. The only climb in the section is at Heilbrünnl. 95% are paved. Shortly before Blaibacher See, turn right on a former railway line with a natural surface to Viechtach. This is where family friendliness ends. Up to Zwiesel there are many toxic climbs and many vertical meters. Nothing for a leisurely bike ride. Muscle and stamina are required.

On the state border between Bavaria and Bohemia At the state border and the shelter hut at the Drei-Wappen-Felsen (901 m) are in the rocks from the left the coats of arms of the Electorate of Bavaria (CB), the Kingdom of Bohemia (KB) and the Duchy of Palatinate (HP) with the year 1766 chiselled and remind of the former demarcation of the border between Bavaria and Bohemia.
