As is often the case in the Lower Rhine region, the Landwehr and its surroundings (ditch system) are used as a mountain bike trail. Naturally, this area is a registered archaeological monument.

Great trail, definitely still exists. However, the exit at the back was deliberately filled in, and it's obvious that no one has taken care of it for a while. The wooden stairs from the drop to the top have already collapsed.

At a crossroads lies the memorial to Johannes Paulsen, who was murdered at this spot in 1668 and lived in Eyll.

The cross commemorates Johannes Paulsen, who was murdered here on February 24, 1668. It is located at a crossroads next to some benches. A nice place to take a break, especially for families, as the kids can improve their bike control skills on a small off-road route during the break.
