It's simply wonderful there. The water levels are beautiful to look at and the sound is incredibly calming. It's also a bit cooler there than in the surrounding area because of the spray.

Beautiful place and at the boat slide next door you can see canoes and rowing boats in action, if they have to go through the "slide".

It is worthwhile in any case to visit the Baldeneysee by bike. Flat and the bike path is well developed. At the house Scheppen you can take a break. But overcrowded on weekends and just too crowded. Unfortunately it does not make fun anymore.
