Just because something isn't explicitly prohibited, e.g., by signs, doesn't mean it's allowed. There isn't a single sign on these paths indicating that cycling – regardless of the type of bike – is permitted. The signs say "hiking trails"!!! Our forests are not lawless areas. Ride your mountain bike through your neighbor's garden or destroy the green spaces in the city park.

There are several ways to get down. There is something for everyone.

Yes, the many roots and the narrow path make this section difficult. I got off a few times, sometimes because of too many large roots, sometimes because of hikers.

One of the most challenging routes in the Südheide, which requires a bit of driving skills with its many roots, narrow passages and stairs. Clear recommendation for all MTB friends, but please pay attention to hikers!

Actually only with gravel bikes/mountain bikes. Not recommended for touring cyclists! Very narrow, sometimes very sloping over short stretches.
