For anyone who enjoys riding off-road and for whom drops, tables, and step-ups are no strangers, the dirt bike track in Geesthacht on the Elbe peninsula is a welcome training opportunity. Even beginners can try out the hilly and winding course and experience cycling from a completely different perspective. Just give it a try – it's really fun to do a few laps here. The track is suitable for BMX bikes, dirt bikes, and mountain bikes. The course is open as long as it's daylight. If you really have the courage, go for it. Personally, it's too extreme for me.

A very nice trail, but a bit muddy in places. Many roots require expert riding.

Here, AI told us we'd missed the turnoff 🙈 so we went back and... who knows when someone had been here before, because even with hikers, the trail is apparently not that popular: extremely steep and rooty, you can't really see it through the leaves, and it's very overgrown... since there's a staircase nearby, hikers tend to use it more. Since my "pack leader" was of the opinion "there's no such thing as can't be done" or "if it can't be done, you'll have to push it," we struggled up it 🙈 after that, it was fine, and here, too, there are numerous unplanned trails 🙃 you just need to choose a different route/access 😉
