In May 2024, all ponds were full again and there was a beautiful lake landscape with many birds. The partially rooty trail could be ridden without stopping, except for a tree obstacle in the western entrance.

If you design the loop through the trail network in the Eickhorster Forest accordingly, the trail is easy to take with you. Otherwise, the long trail to the east is more worthwhile.
