A beautiful trail

Attention, danger! A new wildlife fence was installed this week, which is clearly also aimed at mountain bikers. It runs right across the trail. The whole thing is difficult to see in a curve. Injuries are probably a risk that can be accepted?! Keep your eyes open.

Ideal trail for beginners to practice a bit: relatively flat gradient, lots of jumps at the beginning that can be avoided, then more flowing towards the south with a few curves. Ride from north to south.

Great trail through the pine forest, with partial views of the vineyards. It definitely gives you a rollercoaster feeling. The last section is very steep and ends on a road, so you should be careful.

Höchberg sandstone quarry Due to its good workability, the sandstone of the Lower Keuper is particularly suitable for sculpting and building purposes. Widely distributed in and around the Main triangle, it was previously mined in numerous quarries there. One of the few well-preserved historical sandstone quarries is located near Höchberg. You can have fun there

The trail is – as of July 2023 – very well-ridden. At the beginning, the trail requires some technical riding skills, but later on, it's primarily flowing. There's a beautiful view of the Göckersgraben ravine. As of April 2024: Four trees are currently lying across the trail. You have to lift your bike over them. As of April 2025: There are currently a lot of trees lying across the trail. Unfortunately, it's not fun with a heavy mountain bike/e-mountain bike at the moment.
