It's a lovely place to go for a walk. However, the main path is a combined cycle and footpath, so you can't really walk side by side as there are always cyclists on the road. That's a real shame.

On the way through the Königsforst, a forest area in the south of the city, which is particularly suitable as a shady hiking area in summer, depending on the route you take, you will also come to the highest point within the city of Cologne, the so-called Monte after its "discoverers". The sound of rippling water is omnipresent and present in every season, as the ponds are supplied with fresh water 24 hours a day, which flows into the ponds through cascades.
