ウエケンの滝・トップ5

June 29, 2025: I hiked up the Murg Valley Trail. It's completely passable again. It's actually in the shade—very pleasant in the 30+°C.

I drove up and down the Murg Valley. It was pleasantly cool in the summer.

Popular excursion destination, be careful with your bike, ride a little slower and enjoy the beautiful nature with the ponds, the waterfall and the variety of plants and animals.

In the winter months, the waterfall - after all, the highest in the canton of Aargau - usually has little water. The tunnel is now open again and you should be able to drive through again. Apparently the path has now been repaired after a slide.

The Linner waterfall is particularly beautiful in the depths of winter, when stalactites and stalagnites ennoble the "little big one". Definitely combine with a hike on the Linnerberg, both can be done perfectly in 1 day. At the moment the Murgtal is unfortunately absolutely closed from shortly before the 3rd tunnel due to a slope slide and there is no way through. However, a sweaty bypass is possible, as we did.
