South Sugarloaf Mountain, one of the two summits of Mount Sugarloaf, is a popular tourist spot in the Pocumtuck Range. The mountain's unique feature is its arkose sandstone cliffs, easily visible from a distance, making it a worthy stop to capture some stunning photos.

At the top of Jackson Hill, you'll find this incredible site: the Peace Pagoda of Leverett, the first of its kind built in the United States. To reach it, you'll have to climb a road from Cave Hill Rd, but it's worth it. The surroundings are ideal, and at the top, next to the Pagoda, there's also a lily pond. Mount Toby is surrounded by an extensive trail system for hikers. Once you reach the summit at 1,269 feet, you can go even higher and climb the fire tower for a fascinating overview of the Connecticut River.

Fragrant trees, colorful wildflowers and quiet trails await you at Mount Grace State Forest. It's especially beautiful from spring through fall, when winter takes a break. Atop the 1,621-foot summit is a fire tower with prime views.
