​Castle Rock Park spans 1.2 acres of coastal landscape and is named after a nearby castle-like private home. From the granite ledges, there are great Atlantic views. This park is a popular spot for photography, storm watching, and observing sailing races. Take the steps on the left side of the rock down to the tide pools.

There are many trails connected to hike up this Holt Hill from all direction in Andover and North Andover trails. It offers a spectacular view on clear days including the Boston skyline. From here hikers/walkers can take blue loop trail to climb the next hill called Boston Hill and back. The blue trail is my favorite to walk for over 5 miles stroll (OUT AND BACK).

After granite mining in the quarry ceased in 1929, The Trustees purchased a property on the east side in 1934 and established the Halibut Point Reservation. https://thetrustees.org/place/halibut-point-reservation/

Halibut Point State Park is located on the site of the former Babson Farm Quarry on the Atlantic Ocean, where granite was mined for construction purposes from the mid-19th century until 1929.
