The Spring Brook Loop is a great introduction to mountain biking in Colorado’s Front Range, offering a mix of technical challenges and awesome views. The trail features a series of rocky step-ups, rolling singletrack, and winding paths through forests. The ride is mostly sun-exposed, so pacing water is important, and the trail is shared and popular with hikers, runners, and other bikers. Highlights include the descent through Doudy Draw and the twisty, wooded sections of the Spring Brook Loop. The trail loops back, offering expansive views of the Flatirons before returning to the starting point.

The Lefthand Trailhead is the main access point for a popular system of mountain biking trails on the eastern end of Lefthand Canyon. More of a large pullout than a true trailhead with a parking lot, there are no bathrooms, picnic area, or water stations here. There are restroom facilities just a little down the road east of here at Buckingham Park if you need them.

The Benjamin Trail Loop is as popular with mountain bikers as it is hikers. These long, swooping switchbacks are not as steep as the more direct route up and down the mountain on the east side of the loop. There a couple lookout areas a bit higher up this side of the loop. The Benjamin Trail Loop is only open to mountain bikers on certain days of the week; if you can avoid these days, the trails are much less congested.

This loop is mostly easy with a few techy sections thrown in: Just enough to keep you on your toes.

This loop at the top of Hall Ranch is excellent for beginners and intermediate riders. The climbing is mostly easy and the descent is fun and fast. The loop can be ridden in either direction.
