エル・セロ・カルデリコは、ムエラ城と風車が頂上にあるコンスエグラの大きなシンボルです。

Calderico Hill rises from the plains of La Mancha, visible for miles around and giving Consuegra (Toledo) its distinctive character. Its most notable heritage features are the castle and the windmills that line its summit, following its longitudinal profile. The views of the windmills and castle are truly worth seeing.

Laguna Larga de Villacañas is one of the most important wetlands in the Toledo region of La Mancha, ideal for nature and photography lovers. Type: Endorheic saline lagoon (landlocked). Area: Approximately 178 hectares. Protection: It is part of the Natura 2000 Network and has been declared a Nature Reserve. Flora: Halophilous vegetation (adapted to saline soils), such as glasswort and esparto grass. Fauna: A wide variety of aquatic and steppe birds: Flamingos, avocets, and black-winged stilts. Migrating harriers, great bustards, and cranes.

After riding through dry environments, a nice place to stop and watch the birds for a while.

This is an artificial lake in the old Cigüela riverbed. It is a small wetland with a high landscape and natural value, in addition to the biological diversity of the lagoon environment, which welcomes migratory birds in passage and aquatic birds that live there occasionally.

To the south of El Romeral are the so-called Sierras de El Romeral, rocky outcrops covered with holm oaks and kermes oaks. At their feet springs of water emerge from the source of the Butarque River. The areas where the water flowed became permanently flooded land. An example of these springs is La Alberca, a spring that was transformed during the 80s with the dual purpose of supplying irrigation water to crops, and as a bathing area for the people of Romeral.

The Laguna Grande de Villafranca de los Caballeros is one of the largest river lagoons in La Mancha and the only one in the region with recreational use. With its 2.5 km long beach, it is a popular tourist destination, especially in the summer months.

The banks of the Tagus River are a dense curtain of white poplars, cottonwoods, willows, tamarisks, elms and marsh vegetation between the waterway and the extensive crop plains, an important refuge for wildlife and waterfowl that make their habitat in the reed beds of the river banks and the trees.
