The drifting sand has exposed the roots of many trees. It looks mysterious.

In the past (around 1968), we used this tree as a climbing tree. That's no longer allowed because climbing can damage the bark. There are other trees nearby that, like the Wonderboom, have high roots, and playing/climbing on them isn't (yet) prohibited.
