Casa da Ínsua is a remarkable 18th-century Baroque palace located in Penalva do Castelo, near Viseu, famous for its magnificent gardens (French and English), its production of Dão wine, and its history linked to Brazil. The Mondego, the largest river with a wholly Portuguese soul, offers a crossing here: a dam that serves as a natural bridge. Tread carefully, but don't forget to look up, because the view from the heart of the river is unique. The crossing is usually easy in any season, but if the rains are heavy, it's best to turn around and let the current take its course.

Anta (Dolmen) de Mamaltar: Dolmen with a polygonal chamber and an articulated corridor, consisting of several pillars and covering slabs. Nice little memorial located directly on Ribeira de Cōja, you can take a nice break here, but I definitely recommend mosquito spray!
