On the outskirts of Sortelha, in the granite foothills of the Serra de Opa, nature seems to have played sculptor. Among the most famous boulders are the "Pedra do Beijo" (Kissing Stone) and the "Cabeça da Velha" (Old Woman's Head), granite blocks that human imagination completes as if they were intentional works. But with a little exploration, you'll discover many other curiously shaped rocks, each with its own enigma.

The Sobreiral Trail follows the Ribeira da Meimoa reservoir, created in 1982, where the water reflects the flight of birds and the calm sky. Grebes, mallards, and wagtails liven up the banks, while black storks take refuge in the valleys, and the Pyrenean oak groves shelter discreet gems like the albardeira rose.

Descending from Portela de Sortelha, at an altitude of 800 meters, the trail leads to the Ribeira da Nave, at around 650 meters. Along the way, unexpected boulders, shaped by time, appear, and a valley of pure, natural beauty unfolds before your eyes, breathtaking with every step.
