Each of these crosses, which the traveler often encounters in the fields or, as here, on the mountaintops—in this case combined with a beautiful view of the lake and the opposite shore—is a sign commemorating the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. “Here on earth, His memory exists, but in the Kingdom of Heaven is His presence: this presence is the joy of those who have already attained salvation. Very nice hike to do again

The cycle path around the lake is very busy, so plan to leave early!

A lovely, quiet, grassy beach by the lake, with steps for swimming and tall trees for shade. Bicycles can be parked at the beach entrance, along the path.

The Vuache Fault mirror is an easy to access but impressive site that is well worth a little detour!

The perfect place to take a short break between a few km of cycling.

It’s beautiful… but not really passable by bike except mountain bike. It’s a gravel/stone path which, without big suitable tires, will make you skid.

The place is perfect to admire Annecy and the Montagne d'Âge. It is the opportunity to make a last stop before returning to the city.
