6月 13, 2024, Natural Pools at the Y-Tree
We went to the great Gumben today. We walked straight down the path from the Y-tree. But we didn't jump or even slide😱.

3月 22, 2024, Défilé des Strette
The Strette and Inzecca gorges further east come from the Fiurmorbo river. These canyon-shaped gorges stretch for more than 13 kilometers and offer extraordinary landscapes that can be admired while traveling the narrow and winding D344 from Ghisoni.

7月 12, 2023, Monte Rotondo Summit
We did the climb from the Restonica valley in early July. Heavy rainfall in May caused exceptionally large snowfields below the couloir. Orientation and finding a way was therefore more difficult than under normal circumstances. In particular, the descent on what is actually the same path required a good sense of direction, very confusing, also due to randomly placed cairns that ended in dead ends below the couloir (sometimes on the mighty, too steep granite slabs, which abruptly bordered snowfields and forced to turn back... with then new attempts). In total we have 15km, 3200m difference in altitude (ascent, descent), 6.5 hours in motion and 11.5 hours total time (2 x 45min breaks, remaining time for photos, path search) needed. Tip: be sure to inquire about the snow situation beforehand. possibly Bring a toddle, a snow plate for sticks and a rope. Luckily the snow was very soft, so we didn't need all that. Sticks are mandatory!

10月 6, 2022, Natural Pools at the Y-Tree
The pools on the Y-tree are just awesome. Jumps of 6 - 22 m are probably possible here. There is also an adventurous water slide.......... but you need a lot of courage to try it here. Anyone who has jumped can either get out or swim through the first pool and at the end of it go down the slide straight into the lower pool. You can get back on the left side of the river by climbing over the rocks at the end of the pool. If you haven't had enough, you can jump off the highest rock into the third pool. Important: The river does not always carry the same amount of water. That's why it's so important to dive down and check if the pools are deep enough before you jump! Jump at your own risk!

The summit of Monte Rotondu at 2622 meters offers a wonderful panoramic view, with a great viewing platform. There is also a refuge near the summit cross, which can accommodate up to 10 people.

To reach over a few climbing posts. Fantastic summit with a beautiful view. For GR20 hikers hiking north-south, there is an indescribable look back at the last stages, including the Lac de Nino and numerous peaks. For me one of the most beautiful places.

6月 3, 2018, Défilé des Strette
Although the Strette Gorge is not quite as deep and wild as the Inzecca Gorge, this section of the route is also very remarkable. The Orbu, which has not been tamed by a hydroelectric power plant, rushes through the gorge, while you can collect new, great landscape impressions after every bend. You should also experience this highlight uphill, because the very narrow and very winding road takes up too much of your attention going downhill.
