Very beautiful peak! Magnificent view of the Aneto massif! I recommend it!

I would like to make hikers aware that this route can become particularly dangerous in winter, particularly because of the ridge towards the Pas de l'Ane which can become covered in ice. In this case, ice axes and mountaineering crampons are essential. 2 people died at this location on 1/1/2025, which triggered access bans. I have taken steps to have these bans lifted while raising awareness in a constructive way. Take the time to find out about the snow conditions before undertaking this hike. Enjoy your walks!

Magnificent

The Pish waterfall is one of the most popular waterfalls in the Aran Valley. It is very crowded in the summer season and is ideal for resting and recovering energy.

From this lake you can appreciate the views of the top of Pica Palomera, at 2460 meters high. Due to mining activity, both the pond and the surroundings were affected. Today, the water has a much more acidic pH than most of the lakes in the Pyrenees, which does not allow the survival of aquatic vegetation or vertebrate animals.

From Vielha, take the N-230 road towards Les and Francia. At approximately five kilometers and at the height of the village of Pont d'Arros, we will turn right to follow a paved forest track for twelve kilometers. The road is in perfect condition but it has significant percentages of unevenness and in some sections it is very narrow and it is advisable to be careful. Every kilometer a sign informs us of the percentage of slope of that section and the height gained.

In the lake you can get a feet and legs peeling for free. The fish seem to be having fun.😄👍
