The flat southern part of the Plateau de Valensole is the most important lavender growing area in Provence. It is bordered by the Durance, Verdon and Asse rivers. In June and July, the area between Puimoisson and St-Jurs is a sea of purple. Valensole, the center of the plateau, is famous for its lavender honey.

Esparron Lake offers a mesmerizing blend of natural beauty and vibrant colors. From the various viewpoints around the lake, you can appreciate its striking turquoise waters. The lake was created by the Esparron Dam on the Verdon River and covers approximately 200 hectares. It is renowned for its clear, calm waters, ideal for kayaking and swimming.

The Pélicier forest offers magnificent views of the Durance valley, Mont Ventoux, Sainte-Victoire mountain and the Digne Prealps. This artificial plantation of black pines dates back to the beginning of the 20th century and was intended to limit soil erosion.
