The Grand Brotteau peninsula, located in the heart of the Lac des Eaux Bleues in the Parc de Miribel-Jonage, is a veritable green setting. Surrounded by the calm, crystal-clear waters of the lake, this peninsula offers an ideal setting for relaxation and outdoor activities. The trails that cross it are perfect for walks or bike rides, offering magnificent views of the lake and the surrounding nature. It is a privileged place to recharge your batteries, enjoy the tranquility and observe the local wildlife, just a few kilometers from Lyon.

For such a central location, it was surprisingly quiet here. I was able to spend a pleasant break on one of the benches in the shade. 🙂

This river island, located on the Rhône, is a popular place for mountain biking. Historically, the term “Brotteau” designates an island in the alluvial plain of the Rhône. The Grand Brotteau Peninsula is known for its natural landscapes and biodiversity, providing an ideal setting for outdoor activities.

Super rather regular climb which allows you to climb one of the three great Monts d’Or! With only one light on the entire climb and which rarely prevents passage, it can serve as a reference hill when you are from Lyon! Mont Cindre is the first balcony of the Monts d'Or massif. Located at an altitude of 469 meters, it offers an exceptional panorama of Lyon. To enjoy the view, go down to the end of the hermitage path!
