The Hautes-Chaumes are beautiful in all seasons.

Saut des Cuves is an idyllic spot in the middle of town. Surrounded by forest. A mix tour of forest, river, rocks. Perfect for small laps in the evening hours, as the end of the day. Or in hot weather for families with small children.

Nice spot to observe wildlife. Possibility of observing chamois (discretion and strict respect).

Near the road, the Saut des Cuves waterfall is a striking site sculpted by the Vologne River. The cascade formed by this river has carved holes in the rock, hence the name "cuves" (literally "holes"). The pretty path that runs alongside the swirling waters makes for pleasant family walks.

Extending over five kilometres, this nature reserve forms a magnificent plateau of high stubble. Exposed to the winds between 1,200 and 1,300 meters above sea level, these moors do not allow vegetation to develop and create a landscape of typical Vosges shrubs. On its eastern slope, a ditch forms, offering magnificent views overlooking the four lakes.

There is a car park at the Saut des Cuves. Saut des Cuves are rocks through which a river runs. Lots of tree roots, sometimes very beautiful, but watch out for falls.
