Dedicated to botany since its creation in the 18th century, the Arboretum is home to nearly 500 species of trees and shrubs over an area of 12.7 hectares. The Grande Cascade (1856) is a 14-metre-high artificial waterfall made of Fontainebleau rocks. The waterfall is fed by the Etang de reservoir.
