Perfect spot for eating

Suspended between lake, vineyard and mountain, the medieval village of La Neuveville is one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland. In the old town, enjoy the beautiful colorful facades, the superb views of the cliffs and Lake Biel, and the small cobbled streets.

Walperswil with Bühl lies on a moraine hill above the Grosses Moos. The beautiful silhouette of the village is characterized by the uniform farmhouses with their roof ridges running parallel to the hills. The neighboring communities are Aarberg, Bargen in the south, Hermrigen, Merzligen, Kappelen in the east, Epsach in the north and Täuffelen, Hagneck in the west. The ensemble with church, rectory and granary lies on the southern edge of the slope above the former vineyard. The church is a simple hall building, probably from the 15th century. This is the Eglise catholique. The Catholic church, built in 1938 from yellow stone from Hauterive, was consecrated to Saint Blaise in 1939. The interior is the work of the painter Théophile Robert (1879-1954). The Fribourg architects have created a simple and beautiful refuge. 50 m towards the lake (the cure 80 m). Beautiful harbor on the north-east shore of Lake Neuchâtel with sailing boats and a few yachts. You can also watch many wind sailors and surfers at their activities. A small cafe invites you to take a break. The harbor is definitely worth a photo stop.
