The Trafalgar Lighthouse was built in 1860 on the remains of a Roman lighthouse. It stands on a narrow sandbar that juts far out into the Atlantic Ocean. The site is famous for the Battle of Trafalgar (1805), in which the British fleet under Admiral Nelson defeated the Spanish-French alliance.

Truly worth seeing! The climb may be strenuous, but you'll be rewarded with a magnificent view. Even in hazy weather, you can see all the way to Africa! Definitely worth it 👍😊

The tower can be visited, I think it starts at ten in the morning, and you can take beautiful photos.

If you are in the area. The sand dune at Bolonia is well worth a visit. You can either walk up from the beach or drive out of Bolonia. Park up and walk through the woods and onto the dune. What an incredible place.

It is worth walking along the parapets of the cliff edge and looking in all directions.
