The Leitariegos Pass is a mountain pass located at an altitude of 1,520 meters in a beautiful natural setting. It's an ideal stopover point on the trails and has a bar and restaurant.

The Cerredo Pass is located on the regional border between Asturias and Castile and León. Its mountain setting with endless views is breathtaking.

It's one of the many border crossings between Asturias and León. In this case, it connects Villablino with the town of Cerredo and, above all, Degaña. It's a very pretty pass and a great alternative to the Leitariegos Pass for entering Asturias. It's easier than the Leitariegos Pass and definitely has less traffic. Both sides are very similar, with just 5 km of fairly challenging terrain. The Asturian side has a couple of tough kilometers at 7% gradient as it leaves the town of Cerredo. The León side is more consistent, with more curves and better views.

An ideal place to cool off, drink delicious water, and protect yourself from the sun on the hottest summer days.

23 km climb with a gradient of 1,016m and an average slope of 4.4% It is a very long pass that goes up the entire Naviego valley until reaching the town of Leitariegos, which gives its name to the mountain pass. Once you have passed the first 3 km from the start in Cibea, the road opens up, the trees largely disappear and the views are spectacular at all times. It is especially worth taking a photograph with the Cueto de Arbás. It was my first mountain pass. This 1,525 meter mountain pass is one of the highest climbs in the area. There is a small ski resort here and also good hiking and mountain biking trails.

Border port of Asturias and the province of León. On the Asturian side, starting from Cangas del Narcea, and following the traditional route along the AS-213 road, there are 34 km long and very steep climb, where the first 10 km to the town of Bimeda are on a false level. There is an alternative on this side by taking the detour towards Cibea / Sonande (CN-4 road) in the town of Las Mestas and returning to the main road (AS-213) in the town of Vallado. This alternative presents 4 km at 10% when leaving Sonande. I recommend going up the alternative route and going down the main road.

From the summit of El Moro de Rabón, we have spectacular views of the surrounding area, as well as the nearby Pico Nevadín and a large part of the Sierra de Gistredo.
