The Valcabado Viewpoint is located in the Covalagua Natural Area, in Revilla de Pomar (Pomar de Valdivia), within the Las Loras Unesco World Geopark. This viewpoint is a natural balcony located at an altitude of 1,224 metres, offering spectacular views of the Valderredible Valley. It is an ideal place to enjoy nature, go hiking and observe stars due to the low light pollution. In addition, near the viewpoint is the Cueva de los Franceses, about 1,500 metres away.

The path parallel to the Rudrón river is spectacular and even more so with the sound of the water falling down the Fuentona Waterfall. A place where green predominates with nature that mixes with the river.

The path is short and we immediately arrive at an esplanade to enjoy the sound of the water and the beautiful scenery that the Cascada de la Fuentona offers us.

The town of Tubilla del Agua, nestled in the Rudrón Canyon, has a good collection of waterfalls, waterfalls and wonderful hiking trails.

Near the town of Hoyos del Tozo, following the path that leads from the church to Barrio Panizares, we find this magnificent waterfall, very easily accessible and with a large flow.

This viewpoint is located in a privileged location, on a spectacular natural balcony over the “Monte Ahedo” beech forest, dominating the Valderredible Valley.
