The La Yezosa volcano is located on the southern slopes of the Sierra del Moral, about 3 kilometers southeast of Almagro, in the province of Ciudad Real, Spain. Before the excavations on its slopes, it was the most slender and perfect cone in the entire Campo de Calatrava. It has experienced Strombolian eruptions, emitting pyroclasts and lava flows. Its location in the Moral quartzite mountain range makes its silhouette clearly perceptible from different areas. Indeed they are still closed, as you say we will have to find out.

Thermal Baths one km or so from the Sanctuary of the Virgen de las Nieves, they are normally closed.

Musealized volcano of Campo de Calatrava. The last eruption of the volcano was 700,000 years ago, it has a cone of 300 hectares and the lava flows reached 3 kilometers.

Cerro Gordo is a volcano located in Granátula de Calatrava, in the Campo de Calatrava region, in Ciudad Real (Castilla - La Mancha). It has a height of 90 meters, and a morphology of a cinder cone and mud flows, sculpted through different volcanic phases. The area of the volcano is also a mining exploitation and the company that exploits it ceded a space of 2000 square meters to the town hall to create a scientific and educational museum, becoming the first visitable volcano in the Iberian Peninsula.

Some 400 meters from the Virgen de las Nieves Sanctuary, these thermal baths were recovered a few years ago. I've been wanting to see them, because they were closed. I know they can be visited but I'll have to find out how. The aerial photo is taken from Google Maps and I haven't been able to take the photo of the bathroom itself, as I couldn't get through; It is taken from the news published by the local newspaper "miciudadreal", in 2014, where it is indicated that the bathrooms have been recovered, as well as the rooms that were used to spend the night, a well with which the bathrooms were filled if necessary and native vegetation. We find several of this type of baths in the Campo de Calatrava. This is a three-meter pool, with water that flows from the interior of the earth as a result of the volcanic activity in the area and that forms what is known as boiling holes.
