Been here quite often, not the best, not the worst, just quite overgrown, but still a nice spot put together by some people!

Epping Forest is a beautiful ancient woodland bordering Essex and Greater London. It is one of the largest public open spaces in the London area, covering around 2,400 hectares (approximately 5,900 acres). The forest stretches about 12 miles (19 km) from Epping in the north to Wanstead in the south. These days, Epping Forest is a popular destination for outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy walking, cycling, horse riding, birdwatching, and picnicking. The forest also offers a network of well-marked mountain biking trails right next to London. Here there are epic mud rides in the winter and gorgeous green bashes in the summer. There is a lot of biking fun to have here.

Regular cyclists should not be tempted to use this as a cut-through, stick with the pavements.

Squeeze through the gap in the fence and directly ahead of you is the start of the route. Watch out for the obstacles including a stream crossing and a medium drop off towards the end, never fear, as there are bypass routes available. Probably built by some local lads and lasses, so condition can vary, but overall great fun and gets you into the action straight out of the car park.

Heading south from Little Amwell along this route would be fast and fun in drier months. In winter it's slippy, muddy and wet but still fun! 8 miles of byway with almost no traffic save some walkers and odd slow moving van. Enjoy!

Small earth boxes and berms great for the kids or big kids! Please keep it tidy, as this is private land that the owner generously allows people to ride/build on. Sometimes occupied by surly teens!

Lots of trails to discover
