This lake is gorgeous in every season: serene and frozen in winter, a beautiful blue surrounded by green in summer.

Tucked away in the heart of Østmarka, Mønevann is a serene lake just a short walk from Losby. It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful break along your hike. The clear water, natural shoreline, and small wooden dock make it especially popular in summer, but the area remains calm and scenic year-round.

Quiet lake surrounded by forest: Elvåga is a peaceful spot to take a break or just enjoy the stillness.

Elvåga is a lake in Østmarka on the border between Lørenskog and Oslo municipalities. Elvåga has been used as drinking water since 1941 and supplies 10% of Oslo's population. In 1964 a 14 m high dam was built south of Turisthytte Mariholtet, separating the so-called Fri-Elvåga. In the northernmost area, separated by the dam, bathing and fishing is permitted; in the south, this is not permitted because it is used as a drinking water reservoir.

Very nice trail with dense forest and greenery. Be careful during winter as the path can be slippery. Proper shoes and sturdy footedness is required.

Please leave the birds in peace in their most vulnerable period, when they are brooding eggs in spring (until May 15). do not follow the path further than the tower, and stay on the path.
