An impressive section that's actually not rideable by bike. Only very ambitious cyclists can make it to the top. But even pushing your bike, it's a fantastic experience to be there.

Old road building art in the Norwegian mountains, really worth seeing

Impressive scenery along the climb. Moderate traffic makes it easy to ride. The highlight ends at a rest area with toilets. The main climb is then done.

The old pass road is absolutely worth seeing. A real highlight.

Fantastic driveway to the Fjell. Up to the Stegastein vantage point, serpentines always lead up with a view of the fjord. You have to watch out for the traffic, the road is sometimes very narrow and there is also a lot of traffic due to the Stegastein highlight. The viewpoint itself is nice but mostly overcrowded. From there the road leads into the highlands, the trees disappear and on the horizon you can see the last four curves that lead to the top of the pass. Once at the top, the view is simply beautiful.

Particularly steep and winding section of Kongevegen, the old road between western and eastern Norway.

The most characteristic features of this road are the solitude and the completely untouched landscape. Only the power line bears witness to the fact that people also live here.
