Hoven is a mountain in the Scandinavian Mountains in Stryn Municipality, Vestland County, Norway. It reaches a height of 1011 meters and rises just off the northern shore of Lobukta Bay, at the eastern end of the Innvikfjord. At the foot of the southern flank of the mountain lies the town of Loen.

Loen Skylift is an aerial tramway in Loen in Stryn, Norway. The cable car climbs 1,011 meters to the top of Mount Hoven above the Nordfjord. The maximum speed is 7 meters per second. With a gradient of up to 60°, it is one of the steepest in the world. The average is 45°.

Wonderful view of two fjords. The route can be taken either by lift (gondola up and down for around €55) or on foot (1,100 meters in altitude). You should wear sturdy shoes, and the paths on the mountain are well prepared. However, they are recommended for ascent and descent.

The hit is of course the view, the food was so good... there is also a zipline for the brave... You should check if there aren't ship guests there, then it could be very crowded. Not many go up by bike, most take the lift.

The Geirangerfjord is uniquely beautiful. You should enjoy it with the small ferry from Hellesylt to Geiranger.
