From here begins the Via Crucis that leads to the top of Mount Muretto and precisely to the Church of the Madonna della Neve

The promontory can be reached with a challenging climb on asphalt (path side is better to go down), but the view from the top is worth the effort.

A beautiful little church in the middle of the fields, reached by a dirt road and a short stretch of trail with a charming wooden and iron bridge. Nearby, there's a forest with a picnic area (tables—there are no fixed barbecues). There's also a bike rack. It would be a nice place to visit, but it has one major flaw: nearby is a factory farm that stinks worse than the devil's socks. If you have a cold, or if you can tolerate the smell, it's a nice place. NOTE: The name is not a typo. The little church is actually called "Mission Chapel." -- [Mission Chapel]
