The gardens of Porta Venezia were the first Milanese park expressly dedicated to the entertainment of all. Originally it was in fact a large green space inside the Spanish walls. Owned by the Dugnani family, it was made up of rented gardens and crossed by several watercourses of which today remains testimony in the lakes.
