last stretch challenging but worth it

Easy to reach summit after a very panoramic walk from Campelli. Panoramic view of the Disgrazia and Bernina groups, of Valmalenco and the adjacent valleys with the Scais and Venina lakes. Magnificent perspective on the Rhaetian Alps, the ridge path that leads to the cross is spectacular!

From Triangia to Rolla-Forcola you climb with medium-high physical effort on increasingly rough asphalt until it becomes very rough concrete alternating with fairly compact forest ground with grooved concrete on the hairpin bends and then becomes exclusively rougher forest (not recommended for gravel). bike, if not very daring) up to the panoramic point marked in komoot-map. From then on the journey up to Colina is much less demanding even if there are some sections with gradients of 6-8-10% on the ups and downs. Just before the settlement of Colina, going down, you can deviate towards the suggestive lake which is located about 200 meters beyond the crossroads and possibly climb further up 4/500 meters of fairly uneven forest road on the open coast (up to an altitude of 2,200) or descend on a reasonably compact forest road up to the Galibio hut and then on more or less rough asphalt up to Postalesio.

On the Wine Trail you come across these waterfalls of the Boalzo torrent, at the mouth of the valley of the same name. Very cool point of the route, you can dare to cool your feet if you are very hot in summer.

From Pizzo Meriggio the view is 360 degrees over the Disgrazia group, the Bernina, the Ortles, the Adamello to the north/north-east and to the south over the giants of the Orobie: Pizzo Coca, Pizzo Redorta and Cima Scais. Below the summit you can see the Zocche lakes.

The particular erosive phenomenon whereby the water, with its insistent eddies, has dug large circular cavities in the rock over the course of millennia is called "giants' potholes".

Reachable in about 3 hours' walk from Campelli, Pizzo Meriggio is a peak in the Orobie area particularly appreciated by hikers for the beautiful panorama it offers.
