11月 9, 2025, Monte Pracaban Summit
Beautiful, pleasant and relaxing excursion even in the fog.

5月 14, 2025, Bric del Dente Summit
if you want, with a half hour walk from where you leave the car (Faiallo road), you can reach the top of Dente, in my opinion one of the most panoramic points in all of Liguria. If it is clear you can enjoy the entire Alpine arc to the North and - often - the coast and the view of Corsica to the South

9月 25, 2024, Cascata del Serpente
The Cascata del Serpente is an enchanting natural spectacle immersed in the lush vegetation of the Ligurian Apennines. This waterfall, which takes its name from its sinuous shape, plunges with a suggestive leap into a pool of crystalline water. Easily accessible via a short hiking trail, the Cascata del Serpente is an ideal destination for nature lovers, offering a cool refuge on hot summer days and a perfect place for a regenerating break during walks.

The place is very beautiful, there are points where the path is not passable due to bad maintenance, especially at the beginning we turned back and by extending the route we managed to complete it.

Popular legends linked to its origin and age gather around the Rovere di Tiglieto. In fact, it was said that it had been planted by Napoleon's troops during the Italian Campaign. Other sources report that a horseshoe bearing the symbol "N", the imperial monogram, was nailed to the trunk of the plant. It is said that a Dragoon of the French army, passing through the area and forced to change his horse's shoes, wanted to leave a sign of his passage. Some old people in the town say that as children they saw iron sticking out of the trunk. Today, on the surface of the trunk, there is no longer any trace of it, perhaps completely incorporated into the bark.

Mount Beigua (Munte Beigua or Mount Beigoa in Ligurian) is a mountainous relief in the Ligurian Apennines, 1287 m high above sea level, which rises on the Ligurian-Po Valley watershed. It is the highest peak of the so-called "Beigua group", which includes the nearby Monte Grosso (1265 m), Monte Ermetta (1267 m), Bric Veciri (1264 m), Monte Avzè (1022 m).

The Bric del Dente is a peak in the Ligurian Apennines. At the top there is a stone stele (cippus) which indicates its altitude: 1107 m above sea level.

10月 24, 2022, Monte Pracaban Summit
Grassy mountain at an altitude of 946 m, literally "meadow of huts", at the top of a panoramic ridge and characterized by a pyramid of stones. Not to be confused with the lower peak not far away on which there is a larger pyramid, known as the "finger of the great spirit", surmounted by a cross

8月 7, 2020, Monte Beigua
Beautiful view of the sea and Savona-Vado Ligure up to Capo Noli. Ascent from Varazze "technical" and hard: almost 19 km with 1280m d + with the first 6 km (up to Pero Alpicella junction) with moderate gradient (never above 5-6%), then up to Alpicella with slopes at 8% and passage to Alpicella up to 11-12%. After Alpicella the road becomes very narrow and with gradients of over 10% (even sections 13-14%) for about 6 km. The slope then tends to stabilize at 7-8% with sections still at 9-10% up to the summit of Beigua. From Alpicella (with fountain for supply) to the summit all in the woods with rare exposed sections. At the top there are no fountains but there is a bar / restaurant. The descent towards San Pietro d'Olba is just as technical with the aggravating circumstance of a road surface in poor condition for long stretches. Pay close attention.

A beautiful view of the Ligurian Gulf, the Apennines and the Piedmontese Alps. On clear days you can see Corsica. Please note that if the shelter is closed there is no free access water. There are no fountains !!
