The alp is still popular, though mostly for private dinners and gatherings with friends. Visible from the edge of town, it's reminiscent of Heidi's grandfather's house. From here, the view extends from Lake Orta to Mottarone, from the Novara plain to the skyscrapers of Milan, which stand out against the fog and smog of the Po Valley. On particularly clear days, you can even make out the statue of the Madonna. Behind the alp, in the pine forest above, the gaze is captivated by Monte Rosa, its east and south faces in all their splendor, although a few trees would still need to be felled for a more complete view.

On the slopes of the mountain of the same name, the Alpe Avigno - now abandoned - is surrounded by splendid beech forests

On Mount Mesma, located between Lake Orta and Arona, there is a monumental complex that includes the Franciscan convent, the church dedicated to San Francesco and two Viae Crucis. There are up to 30 beds.

On the top of Rusca Randa there is this wooden house, it should be an equipped area, the interior is accessible but completely empty.

The Lozzolo Alpini Refuge is a structure with a large rest area, there is also a small chapel with a tiny bell tower. Another interesting element is the view that opens towards the Biella area.
