Absolutely brilliant!!! 🤩 A super flow trail with small jumps and other elements, obviously created with a lot of effort "just like that" in the great outdoors, I've never seen anything like it before. Respect and many thanks to the builders!!! Easter 2025 in absolutely superb condition! Surely a dream for experts, but also doable for semi-advanced riders (like me) with a good mountain bike. With a bit of caution and a controlled pace the first time. The jumps aren't that big and can be avoided. At 2-3 tricky corners, I used my foot or dismounted.

Situated on the western shore of Lake Maggiore, above Cannobio and Cannero Rivera, Monte Carza (1,116 metres above sea level) offers an incredible panoramic view from its summit, marked by an iron cross that stands in a small clearing.

Only for professionals or very advanced MBT riders

A little hint: I rode during summer time (July 2023) and the trees all have their leaves. Hence you see a lot of trees but the view on the sea and to the towns and shore line is marginal / hidden. Nevertheless, nice training with MTB road upwards with lot of gravel / stones.

The route from Monterecchio to Passo Forcora on the crest (signposted as route 201) has some difficult stretches and is only recommended for experts, or you can get off the bike and cover long stretches by pushing. There are descents with pointy stones fixed to the ground and large roots. In addition, a long stretch of path is narrow track like the wheel covered by vegetation. The route from Passo Forcora to Monterecchio is easy.

Nice to climb (pushing for 50 metres) up to the crest, then a nice stretch of path on the crest, really fun, things change when you go down towards the Forcora pass, the path becomes technical and then from too much to impossible, I did it on foot 400 meters of woods, nothing dramatic though.

Very characteristic and panoramic stone path. Potentially slippery.
