The WWF Monte Arcosu Nature Reserve is only open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It offers nine different hiking trails of different lengths and levels of difficulty, some of which can be combined with one another. The hiking trails start here at the visitor center. The WWF acquired the area in 1985 to protect the flora and fauna and especially the Sardinian deer, which are threatened with extinction. With a size of 3,600 hectares it is the largest WWF oasis in Italy. The visitor can expect a wonderfully fragrant forest, in which it hums and buzzes, and magical views of the surrounding mountains.
