The Monte Scalambra equipped area is located at 1300 meters above sea level, immersed in a splendid beech forest, ideal for nature activities throughout the year. The climate is cool and pleasant even in the summer months, and the area is also illuminated at night to carry out activities safely. Less than 30 kilometers away there are numerous places of naturalistic, cultural and sporting interest. The Altipiani di Arcinazzo offer mountain landscapes, paths and archaeological remains. The villages of Serrone and Piglio preserve historical and food and wine traditions, and are crossed by numerous mountain bike trails. Not far away is Lake Canterno, a nature reserve ideal for walking and bird watching. Completing the offer of the territory is the city of Fiuggi, known for its spas and waters with therapeutic properties. It is the descent (steep and stony) that leads from the Altipiani di Arcinazzo to the locality of Comunacque. If you are familiar with steep, low-grip terrain then it's for you, otherwise it will take you a while. It's not impossible, but to have fun here you need to know how to dose the brakes and weight on the front wheel. It is one of the most convincing test descents for MtbCult.it
