Natural caves of Onfero, to visit!

Fully understood in the UNESCO protected area, serves as an excursion link to the historic center of Borgo Maggiore and that of San Marino City, which have also been designated a World Heritage Site. In a few minutes you find yourself completely immersed in the woods, a journey that offers breathtaking views. The path that develops along the half height of Monte Titano, along the entire front of the cliff, skirting the imposing rock walls and passing through the natural terraces, open towards the Adriatic Sea. Among the visible treasures are the nesting of the peregrine falcon, ancient and rare plants such as the Nebrodense ephedra, magnificent climbing routes and the ancient sacred place of the Tanaccia sanctuary. This route also passes along the ancient road connecting the city and the village, the Arnella Coast. Work by Gianni Calcagnini entitled "Thought is faster than Action", a permanent installation located inside the Tenuta Santi Giacomo e Filippo. The large iron sculpture, over 6 meters high and 10 meters long, was born as a hymn to freedom, to the desire to know and to the power of positive thinking that guides action; a drive to always move forward; a sign of power and strength that man must never lose or rather must always be able to find even in difficult moments like today, for a better future. An Arabian horse, which legend has it was born from the wind for its speed and resistance, jumps the globe (a sphere 3 meters in diameter), symbol of our planet, and takes with it in flight an Amazon clinging to the mane with only her hands. Fantastic tale or dream, this poetic sculpture stands out over the magnificent landscape of Montefeltro designed by man's crops. Calcagnini always emphasizes the bond with the earth and for this reason the horse is still invisibly anchored to the globe and acts as a conduit towards the infinite and the unknown, concentrating its gesture in the moment of the leap full of energy and pointing towards the North so as never to have the sun in its eyes.

Montegiardino: the coat of arms clearly takes up the toponym: "D'azzurro, with three red roses with green leaves and leaves, arranged in a fan, rising from the top of a mountain of three golden peaks". It is the smallest castle of the nine, in size, just 3.31 km², and number of inhabitants, only 793. It borders the castles of Fiorentino and Faetano and the Italian municipalities of Sassofeltrio (PU) and Monte Grimano (PU) .
