Valeggio sul Mincio is a small town in the province of Verona in the Veneto region of Italy, located about 120 kilometers west of Venice and about 25 kilometers southwest of Verona. It rises in the beautiful landscape of the morainic hills, at the crossroads between the waterway formed by the Mincio river and the provincial road, next to the small hamlet of Borghetto, less than 10 km from Lake Garda. I started in Peschiera del Garda and followed the river to Borghetto, one of the most breathtaking villages in Italy. After around 15 km on quiet roads and along idyllic landscapes, I reached my destination and was enchanted by its beauty. We continued along the Mincio to Mantua, on a wonderful cycle path that took me on a journey through a beautiful landscape. Here I left the course of the river because the Mincio branches off there towards Goito and later widens in Rivalta, where it forms Lake Superior in Mantua. A tip for everyone who wants to take this unforgettable tour: don't forget to take mosquito spray with you. A pleasant and relaxed tour awaits you, whether with a trekking or gravel bike.
