The climb to Campo Imperatore on Gran Sasso, starting from Bazzano, is a very long route of about 40 km with more than 1600 meters of elevation gain. The actual climb begins from Fonte Cerreto (1100 m), with the last 19 km featuring constant but moderate gradients (maximum 8-9%). The finish is on the immense and iconic plateau.

The cycle path from Fonteavignone to Terranera isn't much publicized and if you don't know what it is and where it is, it's unlikely you'll end up there by chance (use Komoot!)... Hard surface, very good for such a route, away from modern civilization

Valico di Bominaco is a mountain pass in Abruzzo, located between the municipalities of Caporciano and Navelli, in the province of L'Aquila. It offers a beautiful view of the Gran Sasso and the Tirino valley.

If traveled in the direction of Campo Imperatore, Colle del Maccione is the point where the climb gives a moment of respite. The road flattens for a few kilometers and you enter the heart of the so-called "Little Tibet". If there was a need to give a reason for this nickname, looking around you understand how the views can recall the iconic ones of the Asian area.
