A welcome rest stop at the R3 with a fountain that provides deliciously cool water and a shrine with modern paintings that invite you to linger! A good opportunity to fill up your water bottle with cool, excellent water here. Here in the Schütt at the “Johannisbrünnerl” a chapel was built by a private initiative. It stands on the spot where the church of St. Johann was destroyed by the Dobratsch collapse. The chapel's exterior blends harmoniously into the rubble heaps that run through the Schütt thanks to the many natural stones. The chapel was decorated with a three-part fresco by the Nötsch painter Helga Druml. At the front of the chapel, the Madonna sits on a fallen tree, like those found everywhere in the Schütt. The naked baby Jesus stands on her lap, next to a child girl, as if Jesus were the “little brother”. All three look at the visitors with open eyes. On the right wall is an angel with a snowdrop in his hand. On the left, Saint John is depicted as a shepherd. For someone from the Gailtal, his skin is a little dark. He is a mixed race, from the various peoples who have passed through over the millennia and left their genetic traces here.  Background to the depiction: "Franca, the daughter of Helga Druml, who designed the frescoes in the chapel, was found near the St John's Chapel after being missing for 24 hours. Some would say a "miracle". In any case, the guardian angel has spread his wings over Franca."
