This beautiful old oak tree stands directly next to the forester's house in Sterzhausen, at the small parking lot where the "Nornenpfad" hiking trail begins and ends. The last stop in the "Nornen story" is also located at the trunk of the oak tree.

There's even a drinking cup at the source. I didn't use that. but let my bottle fill up on the hose. Tastes good and is nice and cool.

The so-called "Wichtelhäuser Steine" are located near Brungershausen in an enchantingly beautiful location in the forest and are well worth a visit. Named with it is a stone formation in which elves are said to have lived. The detailed legend can be read directly on site. You can also climb the rock formation and have a great view of the beautiful nature from there.

There are some places in Hesse where elves have owned gold and precious stones and then hidden them from the people.
