Beautiful waterfall and a trail in very good condition. Only in this section there is no marked trail and you have to jump between rocks.

Very nice destination for road cycling but also mountain biking.

The Chlünteler Treasure: An iron chest was found in the Chlüntelersee, about as big as a lying chest and with a lock on it. It is worth its full value. No miracle is so strange. How did the treasure get into the lake? Did a troop or a silly boy get into it? It was a prince and his name was Suvorov and he was a general. In 1799 he led a troop of Russian soldiers over Prague and drove the French out of Glarus, as he did. But the troops built it and defended themselves like lions. They hit and beat with rifle and cannon, as if the gang were in hell. When Suvorov got there, it seemed as if he was slapping his head against the wall, and he said to his men: "We're putting my fortifications between the mountains. If the enemy doesn't weigh the war treasury now, the best thing would be to fly them to sea. They can hold on until we come back!" And that's what they did. But Suvorov never came into the gang, and not even any of the soldiers who had the gang in. She is still working on the bare feet today, one of them is sawing at the back of the bear's path; she thinks she is the quickest to find them on the Seerüti. One thing is certain: whoever brings her up will be a made man!

For me, the Clhüntelersee is the most beautiful lake in Switzerland. Güntlenau has two campsites at the front of the lake and at the back is the Vorauen campsite.

Go up to the water if you can. You will feel an impressive cold difference. In addition, it is extremely windy under the waterfall.

Half an hour from the Rhodannenberg, turning left from the little road in "Güntlenau" into the darkness of the forest, a path a few meters long leads to moss-covered rock debris. From the largest of these gray blocks, the dedication of artistic enthusiasm for the poems of the great Zurich artist Salomon Geßner, which two admirers of the poet dedicated to his poetry here in 1788, shines in white letters. AND B., 1788 Geßner himself never visited the valley; But the two admirers, governor Büeler von Rapperswil and Pannerherr J. P. I have been up here a few times now and I am always fascinated by this seemingly natural landscape. The lake can be circumnavigated on a well-developed hiking trail. The path on the south side is particularly recommended. On the north side you have to walk on the street, which is sometimes a bit tedious. The lake is easy to reach and therefore overcrowded from time to time.
