Great area with lots of animals and plants. Nature is mostly left to itself. The paths can also suddenly end if they are overgrown or blocked by fallen trees.

Beautiful view of the mouth of the Isar. There is also a bench to rest on and lots of interesting information boards about the animals in the area. Doesn't seem to be particularly crowded. I was there on a Saturday afternoon and was completely alone for over 30 minutes.

Here on the Isar there are great paths for biking and hiking. The landscape in this area is simply fantastic and always worth a visit. Great observation tower 👌

The softwoods that grow here, such as willow and poplar, are used by the very common beaver. The white-spotted bluethroat has one of the most important occurrences in Central Europe here. Ash, pedunculate oak and sycamore trees dominate the less frequently flooded hardwood alluvial forest beyond the dikes. The very rare middle woodpecker finds food here and, in old wood, space for its nesting holes. The collared flycatcher is also a tree hole breeder. Due to the dense treetops and the shrub layer, little light penetrates to the ground, which allows shade-loving plants to thrive. Liana-like plants such as clematis, hops and Virginia creeper climb up the trees. Great rarities such as lady's slippers and beaker bells can be found here.
