Unfortunately, like almost everywhere else, you are not allowed to take your furry friend swimming there. Even if you have a small, sweet dog and of course clean up any droppings, you will be excluded everywhere. It is finally time for something to change!

This is a nice little clean swimming area on the Havel.

The Stremme is a tributary of the lower Havel, approx. 20 km long. It rises between the communities of Bettin and Roßdorf in Saxony-Anhalt and flows into the Havel at Milow.

Small, fine exhibition about fauna and flora and history on the Havel. Our 8- and 10-year-olds loved it - there was a lot to try, touch and experiment with.

Ever wanted to know why the river is so important to flora and fauna? We clarify. On more than 100m ² of exhibition space visitors will get an overview of the large protected areas of Brandenburg and especially about the Westhavelland Nature Park, whose landscape is shaped like no other by the annual large bird migration in spring and autumn and by the Havel itself. One or the other bird can be met in person. In the visitor center you can learn about river meadows and river restoration, fishing and fishing, migratory birds and train times, churches and barges. Or you can hear voices from people who have much to tell about West Havelland. You can also simulate Havel high and low water on a model.
