The waterfalls take their name from Wolfgang of Regensburg, who lived in the 10th century and was a Benedictine bishop and missionary. His figure is often associated with the city of Reims, where he served as bishop. Christianity is said to have spread from here to the Vyšší Brod area.

St. Wolfgang Falls. Saint Wolfgang Waterfalls. The Menší Vltavice, also known as the Hamerský potok (German: Dürnaubach, Dürnauer Bach, Dirnauer Bach, or Little Moldau), is a right tributary of the Vltava River in the Czech Republic and Austria.

A nice little path along the stream that branches off from Menší Vltavice to the waterfalls. Very old trees stand along the side of the path. A bit of tread is recommended in wet weather.

The St. Wolfgang waterfalls are one of the most magical places in the Hohenfurther region and the entire Lipensko region. The Menší Vltavice (Little Vltava) river forms the cascading waterfalls not far from the Hohenfurth Monastery. The educational trail Opatská stezka I leads to them. Saint Wolfgang was a saint and bishop of Regensburg who lived in the 10th century. He excelled in virtues and in leading the diocese wisely and wisely. Saint Wolfgang is the patron saint of: Bavaria and Regensburg, shepherds, sculptors, boatmen, lumberjacks, carpenters and innocent people arrested and captured. Tourists can get to the Wolfgang waterfalls via the Opatská stezka I educational trail, the starting point of which is in the recently restored Rosenberg Gate of the Hohenfurth Monastery. A tourist route marked in yellow leads further, which will lead you back to the monastery after three kilometers. The route is 3.7 kilometers long. The track shape copies an 8 and returns to the monastery. From the information board, visitors can learn about the art of old stonemasons or the Opatský Canal, they can drink from the supposedly healing well, to which a steep path leads uphill, and at the highest point of the path are the St. Wolfgang waterfalls to see.
